Mark Jones fills a number of roles within Conrod.com.au, primarily as a
researcher for the various projects within Conrod.com.au as well as
statistician for VESRIX and
occasional photographer and feature writer.
Mark's life-long obsesion with the Bathurst 1000 and a knack for numbers and
statistics led to the creation, with Shane Rogers, of VESRIX, which added a
whole new dimension to the V8 Supercar Pick 10 project (now Conrod.com.au),
and gained the site attention and significantly increased credibility in the industry.
Mark is a freelance motorsport writer whose credits include
writer/photographer with fortnightly publication Australian Motorsport News and staff
writer with the industry standard Formula One website,
Atlas Formula One.
Mark is also media official for the
Queensland Sprintcar Summer Shootout,
has been infield media manager for the Australian Rally Championship, and many
smaller internet credits including The Road to Bathurst,
Australian
Motorsport Internet Bulletin, FORIX and the Super Touring Image Archive.
Mark is a qualified Associate Civil Engineer specialising in Urban Development.
