Mark Skaife:
"It was a disappointing result given where we qualified. We had some brake problems during the race, which halted my progress.

It was a great result for Todd. He was unfortunate to have that fuel mishap in the final lap. Realistically he should have finished second without that drama, but it was great to see him finish on the podium”.

Overall Position – 3rd

Todd Kelly:
“It was great to get through that race unscathed and finish up in third overall. We had a few dramas at the end, with the car losing fuel pressure – I ended up losing it for about two seconds, and decided to stay on the driving line and let Marcos pass, as I didn’t want to cause an accident. But the car was going really well throughout the race!

I spent most of the laps trying to conserve tyres and fuel, and wait til the end to have a crack at Murphy. But realistically I probably wouldn’t have had a chance to pass, as it’s such a tough circuit to get through someone. I was a bit disappointed to not hang on to second but it was nice to be back on the podium this season.

We made a lot of good improvements to the car for this second race, but we still have a bit more to do for the next round. I’m looking forward to Tasmania – we will have a look at the situation once the new car has tested and go from there, but I have enjoyed racing #49 this round”.
