Ford Credit celebrates a decade in V8 Supercars

Ford Credit is extremely pleased to announce the continuation of the company's foundation sponsorship of the Ford Performance Racing (FPR) V8 Supercar team, having unveiled the Ford Credit FPV Falcon's new livery at the Australian Motorsport Show last weekend.
The 2005 season represents a special milestone for Ford Credit, as it will be the automotive finance services provider's tenth anniversary as a major V8 Supercar racing team sponsor.
Ford Credit's decade in front line Australian motorsport also co-incides with the tenth anniversary of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, where FPR will make the team's 2005 race debut from March 3 to 6.
A new driver takes over the driving of the new Ford Credit FPV Falcon this season. Reigning Sandown 500 Champion Greg Ritter (31) will be racing with the familiar blue, white and red colours of Ford Credit.
Ritter is justifiably upbeat about the season ahead.,"I am proud to be racing with Ford Credit in this their tenth year in V8 Supercars. This is my first full V8 Supercar season and I plan to make a name for myself in this competitive series by giving it all I've got. FPR has worked tirelessly on the development of the new Ford Credit FPV Falcon, and I am planning to give the team at Ford Credit and their customers the opportunity to eagerly follow our achievements this season," he said.
Ford Credit Australia Managing Director Bob Stevens based his decision to continue the company's marketing alliance with FPR after detailed analysis of Ford Credit's consumer and target market exposure following the team's first two seasons in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series.
"We are excited about extending our sponsorship into its tenth year and believe that Greg Ritter and the FPR team will do us proud in 2005," Mr Stevens said.
"At Ford Credit, we are the best at what we do, that is, to provide superior automotive financial services to the Ford Motor Company, its dealers and customers. Motorsport has played an important role in building the Ford Credit brand in Australia, and we are pleased to be associated with the best team in FPR".
FPR Managing Director David Flint is delighted to be extending this blue oval team's long term association with Ford Credit.
"I have had a relationship with Ford Credit from the time they entered the Championship as a sponsor ten years ago. We have always shared the same vision. To have Ford Credit signing up to continue the relationship is a firm sign of their confidence in the team at FPR," he said.
