A third Kelly for TWR, as Owen becomes Young Lion

A third Kelly has been added to the TWR endurance squad, with Tasmanian Owen Kelly announced as Paul Romano’s co-driver for next week’s VIP Petfoods Queensland 500.
24-year-old Kelly, not a relative of K-Mart Racing brothers Todd and Rick Kelly, will campaign the “refurbished” Young Lion Commodore alongside Romano.
Kelly finished fourth in this year’s Konica V8 Supercar Series, driving a John Faulkner Racing-prepared VS Commodore, which included an impressive round win at Winton Raceway.
The Young Lion pair must survive Friday’s pre-qualifying session if they’re to start in the 500km race on Sunday.
